What the site is
Snowball Index has calculators and short guides about saving in index funds. Everything here is general education. We do not give personal financial advice, we do not manage money, and we are not a bank or a broker.
How the guides are made
Each guide lists its sources at the bottom of the page: tax authorities, regulators, index providers and published research. Tax rates, limits and fees change, so check the source before you act on a figure. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed.
The calculators show what happens if the same return is repeated every year. Real returns vary from year to year and can be negative.
If you find an error, email us and we will correct it.
How the site is paid for
The site has no advertising and earns nothing today. In future, links to investment platforms may become affiliate links, which means we may receive a commission if you open an account. If that happens, it will be stated next to the links. Commission does not decide which platforms we list.
